Graduated with a B.F.A. from the Savannah College of Art & Design. There I honed my skills in music, film & audio production, graphic design, and photography. While in school I started my own disc jockey business, providing dj services for the school, private events, local bars, and night clubs. Collaborating with my clients, I would create marketing content for our special events.
My first job out of college was working as an intern at the Chicago Recording Company. Upon completing the internship, I was hired as a production assistant. During my time there, I had the opportunity to assist on projects with companies such as Allstate Insurance, Cheez-It’s, as well as with famous musicians like Lady Gaga, Ramsey Lewis, and Philip Bailey.
Enrolling into the Illinois Media School, I continued to persue other avenues in my field and tailor some of my skills for digital media. Graduating from the one year program, I learned valuable information about branding and digital marketing.
While enrolled at the Illinois Media School, I was hired as an intern for the morning show at the CBS: Radio channel B96. Every morning I would collaborate with the show hosts, producers, and social media manager to create daily content. I was the one behind the scenes creating background music for intros and outros, answering the contest line, and posting copy to the show’s webpage.
Next stop is Propabilities, a local business issuing all kinds of rentals including set designs, furniture, props, and costumes. As one of the inventory reps, I collaborated with prop masters and set designers, for many well known productions. Building these strong relationships, I was brought on set as a production assistant assist for commercials with Jim Bean, Sauza, 2 Ginger’s Whiskey, as well as the NBC television shows Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.
